RAYA FOR CHANGE
Inspired by the profound legacy of Ankem Group's Ancestors
Harihara I, Devaraya I, Vira Vijaya Bukka Raya, King Krishnadevaraya, Achyuta Deva Rayulu, Sadashiva Raya and my grandfather, their lives were marked by remarkable generosity and an unwavering commitment to empowerment. Our mission is rooted in the same values that guided our predecessors, focusing on two pivotal areas: child education and women's empowerment. At the Raya Foundation, we believe that education is the cornerstone of a thriving society. By providing children with access to quality education, we aim to nurture the next generation of leaders, thinkers, and innovators. Our programs are designed to bridge gaps, open doors, and create opportunities for children to achieve their fullest potential. Equally, we recognize the immense potential and strength of women. Through our empowerment initiatives, we strive to create environments where women can thrive, be heard, and lead. By supporting women with resources, education, and opportunities, we are committed to fostering communities where equality and prosperity are not just ideals, but realities. Join us in our journey to honor the spirit of generosity and empowerment that has been passed down through generations. Together, we can build a brighter, more inclusive future for all.

At Raya for change, we aim to create lasting, meaningful change by addressing child labour and promoting social equality. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we swiftly stepped up to support vulnerable communities—distributing thousands of blankets to families in need, launching water cleanliness campaigns in partnership with Oxineer, and reaching over 50 villages to improve sanitation.
Our commitment to gender equality remains at the forefront, with in-depth research on the challenges faced by working women and policy advocacy to address them. One of our team leaders completed a 2 year academic research project focused on solar energy integration for remote regions, crafting solutions to drive its adoption. We’ve also collaborated with TERI Energy and Resources Institute and the National Service Scheme (NSS) at Delhi University to organize a blood donation drive with the Red Cross Foundation, providing vital resources during the crisis.
While we’ve made significant strides, we’ve only just dipped our toes in—there’s so much more to be done. Our team promises to work tirelessly to bring about real, lasting change. To learn more about the impact we’re making and to get involved, please access our newsletter.
